The Reid has a long history in Vanderhoof, British Columbia. The original hotel was founded in 1916 and was moved across the tracks to our current location by horse and wagon in the 1950s. We bought the business in 2003 with the mission of opening a restaurant that offers a diverse menu of freshly prepared food. Today, we are the region's most beloved dining establishment. Customers come from far and wide to sample our traditional pub fare, house-made burgers, AAA-grade steaks, and fresh seafood.
Our most popular menu item is our steak sandwich. A 6 oz. New York strip steak is grilled to perfection on our char broiler and then served on French bread with grilled mushrooms. Try it with one of our soups, made daily. Local favorites include cream of broccoli, creamy butternut squash, and steak and potato.
